PRELIMINARY DESIGN

Before starting a web site design, Activeminds will discuss your requirements with you in detail and either come up with a fixed price proposal for the entire design and construction or a budgetary estimate which is usually a very accurate estimate of the total cost. Variations in price are only likely if you change your mind on the design or functionality at a late stage.

When designing a web site for your company, we take into account the type of business you are in, the target market for the web site and the primary purpose for which it is intended. From that information, we prepare a preliminary graphic design and a site map outlining the anticipated pages that will be required.

SITE DEVELOPMENT

Once the preliminary design has been approved, the first step in the actual development process is to produce a fully functioning home page with operating menus, any animations that may be required, etc. Included in the home page development will be adding the necessary keywords to maximize your exposure and position in the search engines.

The home page sets the style for the rest of the web site and once approved, the remainder of the web site can be developed quickly and efficiently.

TESTING

Once developed, intensive testing of the site is done. This is not just to ensure that all the features work under all circumstances but to make sure that the flow of the site fits the functionality and that use of the site is both easy and intuitive. Web sites should display properly in all common browsers and as far as possible should work even if elements such as JavaScript and cookies have been disabled by the user.

When a site is ready for launch, it must first be hosted on the internet. Activeminds has our own hosting service or we will install the site for you on your preferred web service provider.
